At the end of this course, students able to :( Pada akhir kursus ini pelajar dapat ):
1. Analyze the various definitions of the curriculum, the types of the curriculum and the development of the
school mathematics curriculum in Malaysia in terms of philosophy, goals, objectives, content and focus of
the teaching and learning. (C4, HPP2, KKG2)
2. Assessing mathematics curriculum for Malaysian Secondary Schools and aboard. (C5, HPP2, KKG7)
3. Present issues and challenges of the Secondary School Mathematics Curriculum in Malaysia. (C5, A2,
HPP2, HPP4, KKG7, KIK1, KIK5)
This coursework will evaluate learning outcomes for CLO2 and CLO3.
Coursework Objectives:
Students able to :
1. Write a comparisons report on the differences in curriculum specifications for Malaysian Secondary
Schools Mathematics Curriculum between Malaysia and other countries. (C5, HPP2, KKG7).
2. In groups, students make a slides presentation on the present issues and challenges of the
implementation of either STEM ,TIMSS or PISA from Secondary School Mathematics Curriculum in
Malaysia. (C5, A2, HPP2, HPP4,KKG7, KIK1, KIK5)

Discuss on the present issues and challenges of the implementation of either STEM ,TIMSS or PISA from
Secondary School Mathematics Curriculum in Malaysia.
Elaborate how its impacts on preparation for teaching and learning strategies .
Present your discussion by using your own creativity such as slides shows using info graphics, multimedia and
video presentations. Limited to 20 slides only.
