 One of the top priorities of the world is the Healthcare system, especially due to the continuous
fluctuating status of Covid-19 cases. In January (year), Naga City has built a PHP 350-million
worth of new state-of-the-art hospitals, and accordingly in If you were to be elected, how do
you see the future of healthcare system in Naga City?
 We are all aware of the continuous, and fluctuating status of Covid cases in the city, and this
month, Naga has been reportedly at low risk, thus yielded to Alert level 1. With this, what are
your plans to maintain this status?
 Accordingly, what is your long-term plan to guarantee the health system in Naga City?

In connection with this, the Covid-19 virus is still lingering. We cannot help, but to not let our guards
down. Do you think there is a need to build additional hospitals/ healthcare facilities only intended for
Covid-19 patients or infectious diseases, thus allowing existing hospitals to cater the needs of regular
patients?

(Directed to Mayor Nelson Legacion)

 As Naga city eases to alert level 1, a lot of establishments and public transportations have
increased their capacity; even children are already allowed to go inside enclosed
establishments. Now, with the growing number of individuals that go inside such establishments
and public transportation, a lot of people’s health are at risk yet again; especially the children
who are still not vaccinated.

o Do you think that it is already safe for children to roam around these enclosed
establishments? (1) Are there any new policies that should be implemented under alert
level 1 to ensure the health of people, most importantly, the children? if yes, what are
those? (2)

STD/HIV

In 2016, a report from DOH in Bicol Region shows that Naqa City has the greatest number of HIV/AIDS
cases among the municipalities and cities in Camsur. As a solution, the city of Naga issued the ordinance
no. 2017-018 stating there the implementation or creation of task force to monitor HIV/AIDS cases and
sexually transmitted infection (STI), and to conduct surveillance to ensure protection especially of minor
children against HIV/AIDS through possible involvement in sex trade. However, despite having the city’s
Task Force, there is still a continuous upward trend in the Bicol Region as of 2021, considering that the
center also accommodates referrals from other local government units (LGUs) and conducts tests on
individuals coming from different places in the Bicol Region. How do you plan to mitigate this serious
issue?

Main question:

With all the HIV-AIDS prevention campaigns,

How would you encourage individuals infected with HIV or suspected ones to undergo testing?

Do you or do you have no plan to appropriate additional funds for the city’s established taskforce, and
efficient surveillance or testing of HIV/Aids?
