Five significant observations on the DOJ-OADR website.

1) A link to the official Facebook page of said office is available and can be easily accessed.
The official Facebook page shows their commitment to continually update the Filipino
people on its mandate to promote, develop and expand the use of alternative dispute
resolution in the private and public sectors. It shows who are those individuals that
have been recently accredited as ADR providers and practitioners. Their Facebook page
also shows training and seminar schedules regarding the ADR mechanisms.
2) The website also shows a downloadable portable document file (pdf) of R.A. No. 9285,
the enabling law which institutionalize and established the alternative dispute
resolution. This enables individuals to read the law to which “how” and “why” ADR was
made.
3) The website also has a downloadable infographics and newsletter explaining what is
ADR and its development and works to continually promote the use of ADR
mechanisms.
4) There is also a downloadable comics wherein it explains what is the purpose and use of
ADR regarding conflict resolution and as well as promoting its practical, easy, amicable,
convenient and economical (P.E.A.C.E) application avoid costly suits filed in court.
5) The website also provides for the list of accredited individual practitioners, accredited
private ADR provider organizations and their respective recognized ADR neutrals,
accredited public ADR program, and OADR-Trained participants who have successfully
completed a course requirement. Aside from this there is also the PD 242 and its
uniformed rules, which prescribes the procedure of administrative settlement.
