Health Effects of

Caffeine

Introduction
Results showed that 85% of the U.S. population consumes at least one caffeinated beverage per day. The
mean daily caffeine intake from all beverages was 165 mg for all ages combined. Caffeine intake was
highest in consumers aged 50-64 years (226 mg/day).

Caffeine is one of the most researched food components, with the vast majority of dietary contributions
coming from beverage consumption; however, there is little population-level data on caffeine intakes in
the U.S.

My topic is the health effects of caffeine which is very popular among students and workers.

The health effects of caffeine are used as a stimulant and are commonly used for mental alertness.
Used as a stimulant
in our body.
Caffeine is a compound that naturally derives over 60 differents plants
sources

By activating the central nervous systems.

It can counteract tiredness and improve concentration.


Commonly used for boosting
your mood,

metabolism and mental and physical performance

Studies have also shown that it’s safe for most people when
consumed in low-to-moderate amounts

Research has shown that your genes have a major influence on


your tolerance to it. Some can consume much more caffeine
than others without experiencing negative effects

Conclusion.
Based on what I can conclude in my speech, caffeine also has more health effects
on our body than is as a stimulant and boost our mood.

Although there are beneficial side effects to caffeine intake, the negative effects
clearly indicate that one should limit caffeine consumption.

We must control our caffeine intake and live a healthy life.
