I am excited to hear that there is an opening in your New Graduate RN residency for the ED as I have a
passion for helping patients through their first stop in hospital care. I successfully completed my senior
preceptorship of 188 hours in the ED at Banner University Medical Center- South and found that I
flourished under the pressure of such a fast-paced environment. Throughout my preceptorship, I increased
my skills in nursing care and developed patient relationships within the short time that patients were under
my care. My ability to think clearly during emergency situations and communicate efficiently with the
interprofessional team is why I think that I would be a great fit for the New Graduate RN spot in the ED.

I will be graduating with my BSN degree from The University of Arizona in December of 2022. During my
education at The University of Arizona, I was able to gain leadership experience by being a student nurse
mentor to other nursing students that were further back in the program than I was; giving me the chance
to improve my interpersonal skills, my time management skills, and to ensure that I was able to be a role
model for other students. I have also demonstrated my ability to be a community leader through my
participation in the nursing honors society, Sigma Theta Tau, and in the Phi Theta Kappa honor society.

I am eager to start my journey as an ED nurse at Banner while providing exceptional patient care,
