YOU & MATHS Sketch Venn diagrams Consider the following sets:
A = {x ! N 0 1 x # 3} , B = {x ! N x 2 10 or x # 4} , and C = {x ! N 5 1 x # 17} ,
and represent:
a. A , C ;
b. B + C .

a. By representing the sets A and C, we notice that they do not have any element in common. So, A , C is
simply the set of all the elements of A plus all the elements of C.
