This I Believe

My philosophy on education is that all students can learn. I believe all students have

distinctive personalities and learn differently. I believe that students have a right to feel safe and

cared for the moment they walk through the school doors. I believe that teachers have the

responsibility to their students to prepare them to live and thrive in a socially just world. I believe

that it is a teacher’s responsibility to protect and treat all students equally. I believe students need

to discover how to succeed when faced with a challenge.

I believe that a classroom should be a safe space for a student to explore their curiosities.

I believe the classroom should be a community where all cultures are respected and admired. I

believe the classroom environment should encourage others to collaborate and work toward a

common goal. I believe it is the teacher’s responsibility to set the tone of the classroom. It is my

goal to come to work every day hoping to inspire my students. I believe that teachers need to be

life-long learners and constantly explore new exciting ideas.

It is my goal to help students reach their highest potential. I aim to help all students

develop a positive mindset. Through my dedication and passion, I strive to help all students

succeed and recognize both their strengths and their weaknesses in order to develop a growth

mindset. Through my teaching, I hope to accomplish meeting all students’ individual needs. I

hope to build respectful relationships with my students by being an active listener, and getting to

know their cultural and personal experiences. It is my goal as a teacher for students to find their

own voice by doing activities that range from hands-on to self-reflection or independent work.
I wish to advance my career to further support education by working towards equity in

schools. I will face these challenges by standing up to hate, and ensuring safety and respect in

my classroom, while keeping an open mind. When it comes to classroom management, I believe

that there needs to be patience, awareness, and boundaries with students and parents. What

makes me unique for this position is my enthusiasm and flexibility.
