The Gas Sensor Script

Aidan: Hello and good morning to all my beloved judges. Today we will be talking about our project that we
have been making for the past week, but before we demonstrate it , allow me to introduce the crew.

*after introducing them*

Aidan: Now, I would like to call upon Joy to explain about the gas sensor.

Joy: Thank you Aidan. Let me take an example from the MOS gas sensor. A MOC gas sensor has the sensing
material printed on a heater. The flow of electricity in the sensing material can be determined by the number
of free electrons. When the air it is sensing is clear air like oxygen, It gets absorbs and attracts a bunch of the
free electrons which causes weak energy. Thank you lending me your ears. I would like to pass it to Aidan to
explain what we have done for the past week.

Aidan: Thank you Joy for explaining how does it work. On the first day, I assigned everyone to do a task. Adam
was on design of the box, Joy for documentation and I was on the gas sensing component. On the second day,
Adam finished the box while me and Joy had a hard time doing our task but eventually we completed on the
5th day. Now, I would like to invite Adam to the stand.

Adam: Thank you Aidan. If gas is detected on the gas sensor, the servo motor will spin until it hits the red line.

*shows code*

Adam: As you can see, we are using Arduino IDE .The more gasses it senses, the more rapid the hand will point
to the red line as you can see.

*after testing*

Adam: Even though it has great abilities, it comes with its disabilities. For one, it has to be reset after it detects
gas. Even tough you don’t have this device, you can still detect gas with what we like to call the 3’S, smell, spot
and shift. Smell the problem, spot the source and shift to a safer and cleaner area.

Aidan: Clear air is very important to us, living creatures and clear air like oxygen is made by plants. If plants
were extinct, we couldn’t breathe. To prevent this, we can use the 3 R’s in our daily life. Reduce, reuse and
recycle. That’s all from us. Thank you and have a wonderful day.
