The idea to forn this club arose when the game of rugby seemed to be declining in the rural hill areas in Sri Lanka, This was not always the case as the sport used to be of high popularity ‘amongst the children and due to this the reinforcement of rugby in the up country was seen as a necessity. To be able to play division “A” rugby in the League Inter Club Rugby Tournament is viewed with great value. UCL SC hoped this will encourage the rural children to play the sport and that this idea will spread across areas where rugby is not prominent, With the increasing popularity gained by the UCL SC, the management decided to come up with a plan to design a new logo for the club and a banner to be used as an advertisement on selected entertainment web sites. Imagine that the UCL SC management asked you to design the logo and the banner for them, Activity 01: Creating the Logo. There are two sub-folders available on your network/ exam folder. Namely, DOCUMENTS sub-folder and ANSWERS subfolder. Provide all your answers for Activity 01 on the ACTIVITY ONE word document available on your DOCUMENTS sub-folder. 1. Open ACTIVITY ONE word document. a) Insert ACTIVITY ONE ANSWERS on the header. (2 marks) b)_ Insert your name and teachers name on the footer of the document. The UCL SC management wants a memorable logo designed according to their colour scheme red, blue and yellow. a) Name two other important features you target in your logo design. (2 marks)b) Design the logo on Macromedia FireWorks according to the following requirements. As the designer, you are supposed to use Macromedia flash to create the banner, The management has given you the following as some of their banner requirements. # Banner size: 500*300 pixels Import and use of the UCL LOGO ‘* More than one layer to be used '* At least rotate one object within the banner * Use motion tweens Export the banner as a flash moviea. Open Macromedia Flash, Impart the created UCL LOGO on to the Library to create the banner. Save the created banner as UCLBANNER on the answers folder. b, Obtain three screen shots of the banner and paste them on the ACTIVITY TWO [ANSWERS word document to shown all evidence to support the creation of the banner according to the UCL management requirements given above.
