preparation. a lot of storage space provided by the cabinets scattered throughout the
room. Depending on the size of the kitchen, the option of including a seating area.
This might be a breakfast bar, a seating arrangement for a corner, or even a dining
table. Some larger kitchen spaces have room for a central kitchen island. Practical
design that leaves the room's center open for movement, especially between the
fridge, sink, and oven—the kitchen's three focal points.
Disadvantage: You can use three-sided benches and cabinets to save space on the
floor. It can be challenging to open the bottom corner cabinets. Workstations that are
too far apart may be the result of a really large floor area. Sometimes it can feel too
confined to have a really small floor area.

Advantage:
1. Increases counter space for small appliances and prep space.
2. Offers addition storage for cooking utensils and specialty tools.
3. Adds seating options with bar stools or dining chairs along one or more sides

2. Appliance placement problems because the island can be hard to vent and
requires special wiring and plumbing.
3. Budget problems if the island is too large or if the finishes are too costly.
4. Space constrictions in tight kitchens.
❖ THE PARALLEL KITCHEN

1. Ample countertop space and storage. The parallel kitchen comes with two
countertops, parallel to one another, giving the owner ample space for prepping
and cooking.

provides a perfect work triangle.
3. Space-saving feature.

Disadvantage:
1. The negative aspects of galley kitchens layouts are that they can be tight and
not well lit because of their narrowness.
2. The counter space in this galley kitchen layout is limited.
