"Humans seek to gain knowledge about other individu- als as part of social culture." - when a person creates sound, we tend to search for a message, APPRECIATING MUSIC or at least we expect that something about a person can infer such as facts of his or her emotional life. a voice satisfies his expectations. the same goes for an instrument in the hand of the skilled musi- cian. - PURITY AND HARMONY CONSIDERATIONS IN APPRECIATING MUSIC - RELAXING SOUND - MESSAGE - quality of voice, wholeness of voice that reduces vagueness - clear, soft or mellifluous voice are qualities faithful to the art PURITY AND HARMONY of music (core part in the enjoyment of music; absence of these qualities make the aesthetic side of music dead) - sound gives effects to the listeners. but not same sound pro- duces the same effect. pleasure of one may be discomfort to the RELAXING SOUND others. ORCHESTRA - Typically, 34 violins and a number of instruments belonging to brass and woodwind in an are ensemble. - An orchestra is designed as an elaborate kind of ensemble. SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA -There are four sections according to the instrumental groupings.
