HYCU (with Exagrid) User Acceptance Test –

Intended Audience

This document includes test cases to verify HYCU and Exagrid backup solution functionality. The test
cases are developed in accordance to design specification. In summary the test cases are to ensure that
all the related components working in normal working condition before running in the production.

This document specifies the test cases to evaluate HYCU and Exagrid products installation and 2
configuration. These tests need to be performed to verify that the device is installed and configured
properly.

Test Plan

The test scenarios for the UAT are described as follows

1. Functionality Testing : Verify the ease of use and usability of HYCU Dashboard

a. From home dashboard show monitoring status of HYCU widget; Backup policies, Virtual

Machine protection status, Applications protection status, and Backups, Jobs, and Event

status.

b. Able to auto-discover VM once Nutanix cluster is declared in HYCU UI

c. Able to auto-detect running application on VMs

d. Rolling Upgrade of HYCU software

2. Functionality Testing: Verify HYCU and Exagrid ease of configuration

a. HYCU: Able to configure Backup Policy (CRUD)

i. Backup Schedule (RPO and RTO)

ii. Backup Retention

iii. Archiving

iv. Fast Restore

v. Backup Window

b. Exagrid: Able to configure Exagrid share as backup target (CRUD)

c. HYCU: Able to configure Backup Target (CRUD)
