BOOK REVIEW WINGS OF FIRE

My favourite book is Wings of Fire, which is the autobiography of former Indian President Dr.A P J Abdul Kalam.He was born in Rameswaram in a middle class Tamil family. His parents were Jainulabdeen and Ashiamma.He had tried to emulate his Father in his own world of science and technology.During his school days, one of the most inspired lines from his teacher Iyadurai Solomon was with faith, you can change your destiny.Kalam has tremendous vitality and obviously received immense pleasure from the world of ideas.His conversation was always fresh and stimulating.This book is also by way of submission of thanks,to his parents,family and to the teachers. This real story tells us the role of family,relatives and friends in helping a person in achieving his goals.This book provides many details about success and failures of Indian space and missile technology programs and also the lives of Muslims in India and relationships between Hindu and Muslim communities. His father was a respectable man,whom people use to turn for advice.Kalam used to sell newspapers to help his brother Samsuddin and received his first wage from him.Samsuddin contributed most to the uniquiness of his childhood and made all difference in his later life. He writes about Legendary Vikram Sarbhai in many parts of the book.Sarabhai with the other scientists like Satish Dhawan and Brahm Prakash played major roles in Kalams life and in the story of Indian science.Kalam worked under the leadership of Sarabhai and admired about his management skills and building skills.This book is all about the space science of India.That is all about the launching of Prithvi,Agni,Nag and Trishul and his experiments with ISRO. Core of this book is human will and human victory over disappointments and failures.This book is also about great Indian dream.Dream which our founding fathers had and dream which Abdul Kalam made reality.

The learnings that I got from this book are: 1 .Through hard work we can reach the top of success in our life.That is suffering is the essence of success. 2. Besides hard work there must be honesty and prayer.All this will make a complete success. 3. Whatever work we do, there should be full dedication.

MOVIE REVIEW TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE

Tuesdays with Morrie is a famous movie directed by Mick Jackson,Which is mainly focused on the living relationship between a professor Morrie Schwartz and his former student Mitch Albom. Morrie was a retired sociology professor from Brandeis university and mitch is a sports journalist.Another important character in this movie is Jenine,She is fiance of Mitch and she is an opera singer.Mitch was an intelligent and favourite student of Morrie.However Mitch hears nothing of his old professor,until one night on T.V.When he sees Morrie being interviewed ,then he realized that Morrie was dying from ALS,a terminal disease and is in wheelchair.Mitch became very upset,when he heard about Morries present condition.After that he decides to visit his professor,they regularly meet on Tuesdays. Mitch always say that Morrie inspires him very much and he become surprised while hearing words coming from his mind.Eventhough Mitch lead a busy life,he always found a time for Morrie and he brings food to him at every visit.It is the only gift besides company that Mitch is able to provide to Morrie in his suffering. The dialogue which I like most in this movie is said by Morrie to Mitch.Which is like this once you learn how to die,you learn how to live.there are always some kinds of surprise in Morries dialogues. The character that I like most in the movie is Morrie,the central character.I like this character because of his way of approach to life and thoughts about life.His mind is full of love and he always insists that,we must love each other or die. New words which I got from this movie are: Slurping= A noisy sucking sound. Pluge= Something fitting into and stopping a hole. Salve= Something that soothes. Frail= Weak. Scoff= Making fun.

The learning that I got from this movie is Life is a Wonderful Gift of God.I got this message from the life of Morrie.True relationship always survive.The relationship between Morrie and Mitch is an example for this.

MY GOALS
My biggest goal in my life is to become a manager in State Bank of Tranvancore. This is my Dream from childhood itself .To fulfill my goal,I must have the required educational qualification with me and my plan is to complete my B.Tech first and then to attend the bank test. I chose B.Tech as the degree because it will help me to solve problems in an easy manner. If I qualify the test and interviews,I will get post in SBT.To reach at my dream position I have to face more test and that will not be a hard task for me,if I fully dedicate myself for this achievement. I have started to work on it by improving my general knowledge by reading newspaper,bank test book and magazines,which are related to banking field. The main challenge that I have to face for achieving my goal is the test and interviews of SBT.For this I have to complete my B.Tech with good qualification. One goal that I have achieved in my life was to join a government engineering college which is under MG university.This goal was successful because of my dedication and prayer for it.I worked hard to fulfill my goal.I always remembered my goal again and again in my memory and I tried for it with 100% dedication.With the blessings of God and my parents,I achieved that goal. The lesson that I studied from my life is that hardwork with prayer and blessings from God and parents will make you capable of achieving your goals.
