Thai Massage Sequence

The beginning sequence

● Butterfly strokes on legs


● Traction legs
● Leaning on the ankles
● Alternative ankle rocking
● Palm walk legs
● Ankle rocking
● Ankle presses

Leg sequence

● Bend knee and anchor with knees, gentle traction


● Interlocked hands thigh circles 3x
● 1 hand calf pull
● 2 hands calf circles
● Thumbs presses hamstrings
● Butterfly strokes thigh and traction
● Helicopter turns for hip
● Foot locked at hip and do flexions
● Foot on hamstring and ankle pulls
● Leg out to side, foot presses on hamstring( 1 foot then both feet)
● Foot on hamstring and ankle pulls
● Leg pull and calf stretch from chest(flexion and extension)
● Butterfly strokes on legs
● Traction legs
● Leaning on the ankles
● Alternative ankle rocking
● Now repeat sequence on opposite side

Side transition
● Do side transition

Side sequence

● Foot presses on foot, ankle and leg


● Thumb presses into calf and hamstring
● Heels of hand and thumbs on hip
● Spine traction
● Thumb presses along erector spinae muscles
● Thumbs around shoulder blade and upper back area
● Interlock shoulder and do thumb circles/presses with stretching of
upper back
● Thumb presses under shoulder blade
● Spinal traction
● Lumbar rotation stretch
● Bring leg back to supine position
● Now repeat sequence on opposite side

Arm sequence
● Arm to side
● Traction
● Palm walking
● Foot armpit and traction
● Thumb and finger circles
● Thumb presses palm
● Butterfly stroke
● Now repeat sequence on opposite side
Seated transition

Seated sequence
● Thumb presses upper back
● Forearm rolling upper trapezius
● Hand behind back, stabilize with knee and pull shoulder back with
thumb under shoulder blade
● Arms stretched behind back with feet on client’s back
● Thumbs massage upper back

Prone position
● Pillow under chest(optional)
● Thumb presses feet
● Massage feet with your feet
● Work legs with the foot
● Bend foot to buttock the opposite buttock
● Lift leg with stabilizing sacrum
● Slide under leg and work buttocks and back with forearm/elbow
● Lift leg with stabilizing sacrum
● Traction on leg
● Now repeat sequence on opposite side
