SBA Plan of Investigation

My team and I have decided on the topic, “Racism”. I have chosen the sub-topic,

white privilege. I have chosen this topic because I wanted to uncover the unjust and profound

privilege white people have, where colored people don’t. I have also chosen this topic because

my career choice, law. It deals with justice and the law. So, I chose to cover something unjust. 

         I will benefit as a student of English because doing this topic will enrich my critical

thinking and logical thinking skill. I will be reading a lot of literature, news, and articles about

my sub-topic. Doing that will also enhance my vocabulary as I will be discovering new words.

This will all help me in exams and during comprehension as I will be looking at things in a

deeper meaning. 

          The materials I will use to conduct this investigation are: An article, a poem and a poster. I

will use my visualizing skills to be able to picture what I need in order to understand these

artifacts. Enaging schema will allow me to understand better and my summarizing skills will

help me to summarize the artifacts as I critique and write about them.
