COURSE OBJECTIVE
The primary audience of The Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons' Thirty-Third Annual Symposium are Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. Other attendees that will benefit from the course materials are Plastic Surgery Residents, Medical Office Staff, Nurses, and Healthcare Professionals in other specialties. Attendees of the meeting will learn new techniques in plastic surgery, will review patient safety topics, and learn how to improve patient care. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn new technologies and advances in surgical and non-surgical body contouring procedures. Patient safety and the prevention of surgical site infections and MRSA infections in the outpatient setting will be reviewed. There will be an interactive panel discussion focusing on fat grafting and a lecture on cell-enriched fat transfer techniques. Attendees will also learn about bacteria, biofilms and capsular contracture as it relates to breast augmentation in an effort to optimize results.
