SWOT ANALYSIS

The SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats), also known

as SWOT analysis, is a tool for studying the situation of a company, institution,

project or person, analyzing its internal characteristics (Strengths and

Weaknesses) and its external situation. (Threats and Opportunities) in a square

matrix.

SWOT Analysis Matrix.

It comes from the acronym in English SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses,

Opportunities and Threats).[1] It is a tool to know the real situation in which an

organization, company or project finds itself, and plan a future strategy.

The objective of the SWOT analysis is to determine the competitive advantages of

the company under analysis and the generic strategy that best suits it, based on its

own characteristics and those of the market in which it operate.

ASPECTS

STRENGTHS:

SWOT strengths refer to internal initiatives that are working well. They could be

compared with other initiatives or with an external competitive edge. By analyzing

these areas you can understand what is already working.

What is it that we do well?

What makes our company special?

What does the target audience like about our organization?

WEAKNESSES

Weaknesses in SWOT refer to internal initiatives that are not working as intended.

It is a good idea to analyze the strengths before the weaknesses to generate

references of what success and failure mean. Identifying internal weaknesses

offers a starting point for improving projects.

OPPORTUNITIES

The opportunities in SWOT are the result of strengths and weaknesses, along with

any external initiatives that will put you in a stronger competitive position. It could

be anything, weaknesses that you want to improve or areas that were not identified

in the first two stages of the analysis.

THREATS
Threats in SWOT refer to areas that have the potential to cause problems. They
differ from weaknesses in that the threats are external and generally beyond our
control. They can be events like the pandemic or a change in the competitive
landscape.
