Microwaves can easily be focused into narrowe, beam and have comparatively higher frequencies with broad bandwidth that allows high speed data transmission. They also require smaller antenna size as antenna size is inversely proportional to the transmitted frequency. Because of all these properties Microwaves are extensively used in almost all walks of modern life. Effects:On Human Health AA large number of studies have been performed to assess hazardous effects of Mobile phone radiation. Although, no conclusive evidence or result have been achieved yet. Tissue heating is the main effects of radiofrequency energy on the human body. At the frequencies used by mobile phones, most of the energy is absorbed by the skin and other superficial tissues, resulting in slight temperature rise in the brain or any other organs of the body. A number of studies have investigated the effects of radiofrequency fields on brain electrical activity, cognitive function, sleep, heart rate and blood pressure in volunteers. To date, research does not suggest any consistent evidence of adverse health effects from exposure to radiofrequency fields at levels below those that cause tissue heating. Further, research has not been able to provide support fora causal relationship between exposure to electromagnetic fields and self-reported symptoms, or “electromagnetic hypersen: On Pregnancy:- Although the animal and human data support the conclusion that no increases in the incidence of gross congenital malformations, abortion will occur with exposures less than 5 rad, that does not, mean thatthere are definitely no risks to the embryo exposed to lower doses of radiation. However, a threshold exposure for genetic, carcinogenic, cell-depleting, and life-shortening effects has not been determined. Onwil The electromagnetic radiations are being associated with the observed decline in the population of sparrow in London and several other European cities (Balmori, 2002, Balmori, 2009, Balmori & Hallberg, 2007). In case of bees, many recent studies have linked the electromagnetic radiations with an unusual phenomenon known as ‘Colony Collapse Disorder’. A vast majority of scientific literature published across the world indicate deleterious effects of EMFs in various other species too. In spite oftthe recent studies indicating possible harmful impact of EMF on several species, there are no long- term data available on the environmental impacts of EMRs as of now. Studies on impact of cell phone ‘towers and EMRon birds and other wildlife are almost nonexistent in India.
