INT: COSTA COFFEE – MORNING

There is a light mist on a Monday morning as LIAM starts

walking towards costa coffee to meet his friend JEMIMA,
who is patiently waiting by the window for him

LIAM
hey what’s up?

JEMIMA
Nothing much just sat here waiting for you, also I
bought you your favourite coffee as well

Camera focuses on a medium mocha sitting on the table in front

of him

LIAM
Thank you, I owe you for next time we do this

JEMIMA
No problem just a friendly gesture

Liam’s other friend LIV walks in and sits at the table with
them
LIV
Hey what’s up you guys, sorry I’m late I had a
problem at home with my siblings, they kept on arguing about
who got the last Cadbury’s dairy milk

LIAM
Well I only have one sibling but he doesn’t live in
the house anymore, he went off to study quantum mechanics at
Surrey university. So the only person I argue with is my mum

JEMIMA
I have three siblings but we don’t argue we just
talk about and then were done, no arguing involved

LIV
Well I’m goanna go and get myself a coffee now

Gets up and walks to go and get a coffee from the counter

Liam looks down at his phone as he gets a text from TAYLOR

JOHNSON who he has been talking to for the last 3 weeks

LIAM
I have just got a text from my friend Taylor, I told
you about her last week, didn’t I? she’s the one I am going to
see this afternoon.

JEMIMA
 Mate your about to go out and meet this person who
you have never met before and you really think she is real?

LIAM
Yeah, I do, it was her idea and so I agreed with it

JEMIMA
Well all I’m saying is that you shouldn’t go just because I
want you to be safe, that what friends are for and also, you
don’t even know what she looks like.

LIAM
Well then, we got too got to college now so I will
see you at the train station okay?

JEMIMA
Okay see you later

Both get up and leave costa together and walk up to college

EXT: BRACKNELL TRAIN STATION – MID AFTERNOON

It’s a nice quit afternoon at Bracknell train station were
Liam is sat on a bench waiting for his train home as his good
friend Jemima from college comes to meet him

JEMIMA
Hey, how was college? (as she sits down next to him)

LIAM
Not to bad thanks, we were let out early because
Adam had to go to an important meeting. How was your day?

JEMIMA
My day was okay, I kinda got bored because our
teacher kept on going on and on about exams that we have
coming up, but that was probably about it.

LIAM
Well I am waiting for my train to go and meet Taylor
Johnson

JEMIMA
Are you still going on about that, Liam you gotta
stop talking about her. You started talking about her this
morning in costa and you just brought her up now. JUST STOP!

LIAM
Yeah so what if I bring her up, you’re the one
telling me not to meet her, and before you even say a word,
you don’t make my decisions, I do.

JEMIMA
 I don’t care, I’m your friend I want you to be safe,
I don’t want you to get hurt so please trust me on this one
and don’t go

LIAM
Why would I trust you for, all you have told me is
to not go and see her and not speak to her all because you
don’t think she is real

JEMIMA
Yes, that is exactly what I am saying okay, we’ve
been friends for years and all of a sudden you’ve just stopped
listening to me

LIAM
There is a valid reason for that. I am becoming a
responsible adult next year and I want to start making
decisions on my own, starting with this one.

JEMIMA
Fine, if you wanna go, you go

LIAM
I am going, okay!

Sitting there quietly on the bench waiting for the train, both
Liam and Jemima don’t look at each other until Liam’s train
arrives.

LIAM
Alright see you later then

JEMIMA
Alright see you in college tomorrow

Liam steps onto the train while Jemima is still sitting on the
bench waiting for her train in the other direction.

EXT: VIRGINIA WATER TRAIN STATION – MID AFTERNOON

Liam steps of the train and starts walking towards the place
he is meeting Taylor Johnson

Liam starts making his way to were he is going to meet Taylor

Johnson

LIAM
Man I cant wait to meet her (with a big smile on his
face)
EXT: VIRGINIA WATEER – LATE AFTERNOON

Liam starts walking through Virginia water to meet Taylor

Johnson at a nearby coffee stand, not knowing what she looks
like Liam continues anyway. Approaching the coffee stand Liam
sits down and waits patiently for Taylor

TAYLOR
Hey, are you Liam?

LIAM
Yeah, who are you?

TAYLOR
I’m Taylor, the person you’ve been talking to on
WhatsApp

LIAM
You don’t look anything like the person I’ve been
talking to on WhatsApp

TAYLOR
That’s properly because I’m not wearing any makeup

LIAM
No, it not that, the person I was talking to had
dark, black hair, you have blondish hair

TAYLOR
Oh yeah, forgot, I had a hair colour change too,
look let met me show you (grabs phone from pocket)

LIAM
Don’t bother taking your phone and showing me, I
don’t want to you to show me, because I’m waiting for my
friend Taylor

TAYLOR
But I am your friend Taylor, just I look different

LIAM
Well seeing your not telling me the truth about who
you really are, I am just going to leave now and go home

TAYLOR
But wait, I am Taylor from WhatsApp. Look I lied to
you about who I really am

LIAM
Wait what! You lied, who would do that? Don’t even
bother asking I am going to leave now and go home
 TAYLOR
Well I’m not goanna let you

LIAM
Why?

TAYLOR
Because you agreed to meet me here, so that is what
were doing

LIAM
No were not, I’m just goanna leave

Liam starts to walk of slowly the way he came

LIAM
Why are you following me for? Stop following please
I don’t know who you are so leave me alone

Liam starts walking at a faster pace, but Taylor keeps

following him

TAYLOR
Stop I wanna talk to you

LIAM
I don’t wanna talk to you because I have no fucking
clue who you are

Taylor pulls out plastic water bottle, throughs it a Liam who

is then knocked unconscious. Liam then falls to the floor
