The number of crimes is increasing tremendously year by year.

Some argue that those who

commit atrocities should be punished with death while others believe that other approaches
are better for tackling the rise. This essay will examine both sides in detail in the following
paragraphs.

On one hand, some people believe that the best remedy is to let criminals die for their terrible
deeds. In other words, capital punishment prevents serious crimes and discourages those who
attempt them because they fear being executed and experiencing poor outcomes. For
example, a recent study found that in the United States, states that use the death penalty have
lower crime rates than states that do not. Therefore, he argues that the death penalty is the
only appropriate measure to reduce the increase in crime.

On the other hand, other measures are needed to reduce crime. Many people believe that this
approach is more effective and saves lives that may not be guilty. Because the death penalty
has the potential to punish innocent people, leading to the destruction of their families, and
future lives, and real criminals will be free in society. In addition, the adoption of other means
such as weapon restrictions and improved control leads to less crime. Therefore, the majority
of the public believes that this measure can curb the rise of serious behaviors.

In summary, there are several reasons for the increase in crime rates. Although some insist
that the death penalty is the best way to solve the problem, I agree with the argument that
other measures are also necessary.
