Detailed product description:
SINAMICS S120 CBE20 PROFINET MODULE FOR CONNECTION TO PROFINET IO WITH 4 RJ45 PORTS WITH
SWITCH FUNCTION

Install the PST Primary Set Up Tool:

PST Primary Setup Tool - Version V3.0 for assigning IP addresses to Ethernet modules
With the Primary Setup Tool (PST), you can assign an IP address to Ethernet modules.
This is possible only when the modules have a default MAC address and can be reached on the network.
With Industrial Network Components, you can call up the component configuration after you have assigned an
IP address. This configuration is then set using the Internet Explorer. This tool comes with Starter and can be
located at the directory "CD:\INSTALLATION\PST_V3.0".

First, display all available modules with their MAC and IP addresses.
• You can do this by selecting the Network -> Browse menu command or by pressing the F5 key.
The modules found are then displayed as a tree structure in the left-hand area of the PST dialog window.
To assign an IP address, follow the steps outlined below:
- Select the Ethernet interface of the required component.
- Enter the IP address in the right pane of the dialog. Please make sure that this IP address has not already been
assigned to another module.
- As an option, you can obtain the IP address over DHCP. If you want to use this method, select "Obtain IP
address from DHCP server" and select what should be used as the station identification. If you select Client ID,
you can select your own identification text. To avoid network problems, make sure that the Client ID is unique. If
you select DHCP, please make sure that the module is DHCP-compliant.
- Using the Module -> Download menu command, send the IP address to the selected module.
With Industrial Network Components, you can also call up the component configuration after you have assigned an IP
address. This configuration is then set using the Internet Explorer.
To be able to reach the INC component using the Internet Explorer, at least one network adapter must be located in the
same subnet as the node you want to reach. Otherwise, there must be a router in the network that connects the two
subnets.
In this example with the PG\PC connected to the Sinamics Demo Unit click on Network browse. The
CU Unit will be displayed with its unique MAC Address.
Set up the IP address desired for the unit. In this example it is set to 169.254.11.11 with a Subnet
mask of 255.255.0.0. If desired a device name can be entered.
Highlight Sinamics S and click on Module and download to the unit.
Close the PST tool. The unit has been programmed an IP address.
