This report not only helps us to know about sinusoidal voltage but also helps to understand it properly. This report also helps us to analyse the graph as well as various parameters used in sinusoidal voltage. It explains all the parameters with proper definition. This report is mainly prepared for answering these questions. What is SINUSOIDAL VOLTAGE © How the graph of Sinusoidal voltage wave look like © What are the different parameters used to specify the Sinusoidal voltage wave © What is the explanation of all the parameters used to specify the Sinusoidal voltage wave © How Sinusoidal voltage can be generated This report helps us to familiar with the SINUSOIDAL VOLTAGE as well as its graph along with all the parameters that can be used to specify the wave. VOLTAGE WAVEFORM ‘A multi-turn coil is placed inside a magnet with an air gap as shown in Fig 12.1. The flux lines are from North Pole to South Pole. The coil is rotated at an angular speed, w = 2mm (“*) + n=2= Speed of the coil (rev/sec or rps) T= No.of turns in coil , 8=flux density in air gap (Wb/m*2) , b=width(diameterJof the coil (m) N=60.n = Speed of the coil{rev/min or rpm) , _v=nbn = tangential velocity of the coll (m/s) |= length of coil(m) BASIC ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (ES-EE 101) sia alice Rak ie (CA2 TECHNICAL REPORT WRITING NAME+ ANUJYOTI DE ROLL NUMBER=07 THEORY ‘A Sinusoidal voltage source ( dependent or independent) produces a voltage that varies as a sine wave with time . A Sinusoidal current source (dependent or independent) produces a current that varies with time. The Sinusoidal varying function can be expressed either with Sine or Cosine wave. Sinusoidal alternating voltage represented as v=Vsinast where vis voltage at time t and V is maximum voltage. OBJECTIVE Magnetic Field al At a certain instant t, the coil is an angle (rad), @ ¢ with the horizontal . The emf (V) induced on one side of the coil (conductor) is Bvisind , @ can also be termed as angular displacement. Frequency refers to number of periods in 1 second. Period is «the inverse of frequency and frequency is the inverse of period. Period measured in seconds and frequency measured in Hertz(Hz) BASIC ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (ES-EE 101) CA2 TECHNICAL REPORT WRITING NAME + ANUJYOTI DE ROLL NUMBER + 07 * PHASE: The term phase describes the waves relative to time. if we think of the wave as something that can be shifted forward or backward along the time axis, phase describes the amount of that shift. It indicates the status of the first cycle. Phase is measured in degrees or radians. * WAVELENGTH-: Wavelength binds the frequency of a simple sine wave to the propagation speed of the medium . It is an another characteristic property of sinusoidal wave. © AMPLITUDE: In a sinusoidal wave , Amplitude is the maximum distance or displacement moved by a point on a wave measured from it’s equilibrium position.
