 ABSTRACT
Wildlife and Nature Crime Reporting System is a system which handle the
information of the reported events about Nature and Wildlife Crimes, their respective
authorities, identity of reporter and all. It is difficult to organize manually.
Maintenance of all this information manually is very complex task. Along with the
advancement of technology, organization of reporting system becomes much
simple.The crime reporting system has been designed to computerized and automate
the reporting mechanism, notifies all concerned authorities and all other
operations.This digitization of security system helps in many instances of its scope. It
reduces the workload of security management and agencies as most of the manual
work is reduced.

The technology platform used in this system are Python programming (Django), SQL
Server for Database and CSS , JavaScript and jQuery for the web development.

 CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background
A Wildlife and Nature Crime Reporting System is a project that manages and
maintains complaint information digitally according to the need of authority. The
system helps the concerned authority to keep a constant track of all the natural and
wildlife crimes occurred in the area. It allows to monitor closely to the criminal events
with category.

Thus, this system reduces manual workload to a great extent and allows smooth flow
of monitoring activities as complaints reported through this portal are dealt by
respective authority.

1.2 Problem Statement

The traditional way of reporting the crime is through the physical presence
in the concerned authorities but while doing so we have to spend lot of time
in physical queue and should wait for long procedure. So, it is
recommended to have a facility where we can complain report through
online from our comfort zone. Thus, regarding these problem, we have
proposed this project .This will minimize all the difficulties and prove to be
simple, systematic, scientific, user-friendly and inexpensive.

1.3 Objectives

This project aims to develop an digital reporting system which will be

beneficial for all the people who want to report crime related to Wildlife
and Nature.

The main objective of the Reporting System include:

 To manage criminal details in a centralized database and provide

solution for public to give complaint through online.
