LOVE AND TIME – Script Version 2

Narrator: Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived:
Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the other feelings, including Love. They
all lived in peace and harmony, until one day, it was announced to the feelings that
the island would soon sink. So they all constructed a boat and left. But Love chose
to stay.

Love was the only one who stayed, holding out until the last possible moment.
When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help to save the island.

Wealth was passing by Love in a grand yacht. Love asked,

Love: "Wealth, could you help me save this island before it sinks?"
Narrator: In which Wealth answered,
Wealth: "No, I cannot. I cannot leave my gold and silver in the yacht just to help
you."

Narrator: Wealth left as Love watched that her yacht sailed away. Love looked
around and waited until . . .

Love: Reaches to Conceit "Conceit, please help me! Help me save this island!"
Conceit: "It seems that I cannot help you, Love. I cannot leave my boat because
it might get damaged.”

Narrator: Conceit left, leaving Love alone in the island that was nearly sunk.
Love saw Sadness close by, running up to Sadness and pleaded:
Love: "Sadness, please help me save this island. This is your home too and we
cannot lose it."

Sadness: "Oh... Love, I feel so miserable that I cannot help anyone."

Narrator: Sadness left with tears in their eyes. Love saw Happiness, hurrying
over to Happiness and shouted for help. Love thought that Happiness was the last
hope.

Love: "Happiness! Please, help me save the island! Happiness! Do you hear
me?!"

Narrator: Love yelled with all energy, nearly exhausting themselves. But even
with Love's attempts of calling for help, Happiness did not hear Love because of
the joy clouding their mind. Suddenly, there was a voice,

Unknown man: "Here, Love, I will help you."

Narrator: The voice came from an elderly man. So blessed and overjoyed, Love
led the elder and started doing some things to save the island. It took a long time
to save the island from sinking, but after working it was all worth it in the end.
Though only some parts of the island had remained, it was beautiful. It was still
home. When they finished, some other feelings returned to the island and the
elderly man went his way. Realizing how much Love owed the elder, Love saw
Knowledge passing by and asked,

Love: "Who helped me?"

Knowledge: "It was Time."
Narrator: Knowledge answered. Love asks curiously,
Love: "But why did Time help me?"
Narrator: Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered,
Knowledge: "Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable
Love is.

Narrator: With that, the story . . . Ends.
