Community Action Plan

Name of Project Arts Exploration Program for the Youth

Objective/s To encourage youth to engage with or explore many


forms of arts specifically dance, painting and music.

● 25 young individuals between the ages of 15 and


24 make up the target participants.

● The program will be conducted by the 6


alumna/alumni of Zamboanga del Sur National
High School - Special Program in the Arts Batch
2020

Activities 1. Introducing the different kinds of Filipino


cultural dances / folk dances.
2. Clay painting.
3. Jingle making.

Timeline The first day's activities will be led by three Zamboanga


del Sur National High School - Special Program in the
Arts dance major alumna/alumni named Jemima
Mendez, Melanie Escalante, and Dave Secretario.

Day 1
9:00 am - 12:00 nn - Introducing the different kinds of
Filipino cultural dances / folk dances and also the
fundamental dance position.

12:00 nn - 1:00 pm - Lunch break

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm - Introducing and practicing the dance


steps of folk dance. Examples of it are habanera step
(step, close, step.), hop step (step, hop.), mincing step
(cross, step.), and many more.

3:00 pm - 4:30 pm - Introducing and practicing the dance


terms. Examples of it are bilao, kumintang, ilocano
kumintang, and many more.

End of the day


The second day's activities will be led by one of
Zamboanga del Sur National High School - Special
Program in the Arts visual arts major alumna/alumni
named Pringie Enjambre.

Day 2
9:00 am - 12:00 nn - Learning the basic things in
painting. For example, how to mix a pain to form a new
color, and etc.

12:00 nn - 1:00 pm - Lunch break.

1:00 pm - 4:00 pm - Clay painting.

End of the day.

The third day's activities will be led by two Zamboanga


del Sur National High School - Special Program in the
Arts music major alumna/alumni named Andrea
Rodriguez, and Julmaylyn Tugas.

Day 3
9:00 am - 12:00 nn - Learning different kinds of music
notes. Examples are quarter note, whole note, half note,
and many more.

12:00 nn - 1:00 pm - Lunch break

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm - Brainstorming of lyrics and the beat


for the jingle.

3:00 pm - 4:30 pm - Practicing the jingle.

Materials Needed / logistics Acrylic paints, canvas, brushes, microphones, speakers,


tambourines, guitars, and beatboxes.

Expected Output Youth are expected to be able to perform the dance


fundamental position, dance terms and dance steps. The
youth are also expected to be able showcase their artistic
creations such as clay paintings and jingles. The youth
are also expected to gain knowledge about the different
kinds of arts, specifically dance art, music art, and visual
arts/painting.
