“Paeng” intensify? What will be its general direction? What part of Luzon will the TC possibly
traverse?

Based on the present model data, the Tropical Depression Paeng will intensify due to favorable
conditions. No strong vertical wind shear can be observed on the upper levels and a good
outflow is observed. Easterlies will be the major driver of Paeng with little to no resistance of
winds coming from the northeast hence it will continue to traverse the direction of northwest
and will pass to the central Luzon area. Weather disturbance in the Visayas and Mindanao
region is expected on the coming days due to Paeng enhances the southwesterly flow.
