1. The Monthly Climate Briefer is a new product developed by the Climate Monitoring and Prediction
Section under the Climatology and Agrometeorology Division to provide a climate quick look and to
assist in media communication, press briefings, and other speaking engagements of PAGASA personnel.

Evaluate the Monthly Climate Briefer. Identify its strengths, weaknesses, and areas to improve its
suitability for your needs.

 So far everything that mostly the media will ask is already present in the MCB. Details were
easily readable and understood. Maybe for some acronym such as N, LN and EN, might need to
be introduced first, for example under the TC Frequency section, in the table i.e El Niño (EN)
YRS. Etc..

2. Describe the El Ñino Southern Oscillation, its phases, and its impacts in the Philippines.

3. Name 3 more large-scale drivers that modulate weather and climate patterns in the Philippines. Rank
and explain which of these drivers has the most/least influence on weather and climate patterns in the
