SUPPLY OF NITROGEN BY PIPELINE TO KNPC REFINERIES

1.0 General Notes to Bidders :

1.1 The estimated quantity of Nitrogen is only a provisional figure for

evaluation purposes. The quantities mentioned are only indicative
and the actual requirement shall depend upon the plant
consumption.

1.2 The delivery pressure of Nitrogen through Pipeline to the three

Refineries shall be minimum 150 psig and at ambient temperature
(Also refer Part II, Exhibit A, Clause 2.6 in this regard).

1.3 The projected quantity requirements for the three Refineries for the
entire Contract duration are expected to be as follows :-

SHU 420,000,000 SCF (420 million SCF)

MAB 781,250,000 SCF (781 million SCF)
MAA 375,000,000 SCF (375 million SCF)

1.4 The Contractor is not eligible for any claim on account of Rate
adjustment for any increase or decrease in the projected quantities.

1.5 The Rates quoted by the Bidder shall be inclusive of all things
necessary for the proper execution of the Works, in accordance with
the Contract Terms & Conditions.

1.6 There is no minimum or maximum of total consumption (for the

entire Contract period) or minimum or maximum of supply quantities
(at any given point of time) for any of the three Refineries.

1.7 The purity requirements for the Nitrogen to be supplied shall be in

strict adherence to Clause # 2.7 of Part II, Exhibit A.

1.8 The Contractor ought to be able to meet the complete requirement

of Nitrogen for each of the three Refineries, as stipulated vide the
relevant Clauses of Part II, Exhibit A, for the entire Contract duration
of 5 years.

1.9 The time within which the Contractor has to commence the supply of
the requested quantities shall be as highlighted vide clause # 2.6 of
Part II, Exhibit A.
