These Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses provide college level
curriculum to capable students in various subject areas. Students need to be highly motivated. Students
taking AP courses are expected to take the respective College Board Advanced Placement Exam.
Students taking IB courses are expected to complete the respective International Baccalaureate
course assessments throughout the 2 years. Students may be granted college credits by the colleges
based on final exam scores and assessments. For specific course descriptions and prerequisites, look for
these courses in their respective departments in this course guide. All advanced courses listed below are
weighted on a 5.0 gpa scale.
