 INTRODUCTION

The surau is the holy place of worship for Muslims. In Arabic, it is

called surau or masjid, which means place of prostration. KKTM Sri
Gading provides surau for common usage. This building is a double-
storey building. This place can fit 800 to 900 people at a time for
having pray or any religious ceremony. The purpose of inspecting
this place is to encourage more students or staff to pray at surau
instead keep

Scope : Facilities

Surau An-Nur provides fans, prayer halls, sejadah (praying mats or rugs),
prayer veils, ablution areas (wudu’) and restroom.

The building has 15 fans downstairs and 18 upstairs fan. In terms of

number, fans in Surau An-Nur are sufficient for cool the people in this
building. All the fans in this building are in a good condition to use. Surau
An-Nur has a prayer hall. Normally there is no furniture in it except for
prayer mats or rugs, the Quran, the qiblah wall is usually at the other side
of the entrance to the prayer hall. Muslims may use pipe for their ritual
washing or “wudhu” . Lastly, restroom also provided in surau An-Nur .
The condition of the restrooms are clean and comfortable for the user.
High giene cleaniness and sanitation are maintined throughout our
observation
