Enfriamiento de un microprocesador

Considere un microprocesador cuadrado que disipa 𝟑 ∙ 𝒀 W


con dimensiones de X x X cm y 0.5 cm de altura (consulte la
siguiente figura). Con objeto de enfriar el microprocesador se
necesita montarlo en un dispositivo denominado disipador de
calor, que tiene dos funciones. Primero, distribuye el calor del
microprocesador relativamente pequeño a un área mayor;
segundo proporciona un área de transferencia de calor
ampliada en la forma de aletas. Luego se puede utilizar un
ventilador pequeño para proporcionar enfriamiento de aire
forzado. Las restricciones principales para el diseño de un
disipador de calor son el costo y el tamaño. Para
computadoras portátiles, la energía para el ventilador
también es una consideración importante. Desarrolle un diseño de un disipador de calor que mantenga
el microprocesador a 90 °C o menos y sugiera maneras para optimizar el sistema de enfriamiento.
