Address (Economic Offences Wing, Gurgaon) :

4th Floor, Commissioner of Police Office, Gurugram, Haryana, Pin – 122001

Pecuniary Jurisdiction:

Generally, the minimum amount to submit a complaint with the Economic Offence Wing
(EOW) is Rs. 50 lakh, which means that cases with a pecuniary value of Rs. 50 lakh or more
will be dealt with by the EOW. This value was first set at Rs. 10 lakh, but in 2013 it was
increased to Rs. 25 lakh, and it is presently set at Rs. 50 lakh.

This sum, however, may vary from state to state because EOW is managed by state
legislation, and different states have different needs, therefore this amount may change. For
example, the minimum amount to submit a case in Mumbai is Rs. 3 crore, whereas the basic
amount limit to file a complaint in EOW in UT Chandigarh is Rs. 50 lakh.

The pecuniary jurisdiction of EOW Gurgaon is 25 lakhs as of now. [As per EOW Branch
Office, Gurgaon. Since the information wasn’t available in the official website nor in the
public domain, I contacted the branch office directly.]
