REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE/SYSTEMS

The systems cited in this chapter discusses the different

concepts, understandings, and generalizations related to study of
manual procedure of management from the past up to the present and
which serves as the researchers guide in developing the system project
entitled: “Brgy. Panugnawan Water Management System”. This system will
help the water management staff in storing data properly through this
supposed system. These are the systems that are related in our study:

The capstone project entitled “Web Based Water Billing Management

System with Due Date for Payment Notification via SMS” is a web based
platform for managing water bills of the consumers. The system will be
able to process bill payments, generate billing reports and issues
official receipt. The system will also have a feature that notifies
registered consumers about the due date of payment via SMS.

Web-Based Billing and Collection System for a Municipal Water and

Services Unit is a system that sought to address the problem of a
municipal water unit. Using the technology, meter reading will be
paperless. It can be accessible through the Internet; end-users and
water consumers/customers could connect and perform transactions
enabling them to become efficient on their daily tasks whether in the
office or at home. The head of the unit can make overall viewing of
the status of daily transactions and can be viewed using desktop,
laptop computers and android mobile devices connected to the internet.
The water consumers/customers may receive email and short messaging
system showing their current water consumption and water bill.
Added/unique features such as graphical chart showing regular water
consumptions on the end-users and consumers/customers dashboard as
well as on their billing statements are provided.

Web based water billing system is an automated system that is based on

delivering the water bills to the consumer. This system can manage the
billing by sending it directly to the consumer via mobile application
app or web. The proponents proposed Web Based Water Billing with
Mobile Application in order to help the company’s growth The system
will be able to generate invoices, process payment, calculate
penalties, and generate billing reports and issue official receipt
This will also serve as storage of billing information on a
centralized database wherein, whenever the accounting department asked
for billing reports periodically billing and collection has the
ability to produce reports immediately The system is enough to meet
client’s demand.

SYSNTHESIS
In relation to this, the concept of those studies would be a big help
to the present study which is the “Brgy. Panugnawan Water Management
System” to create file monitoring management system. With the use of
this system, the water management staff would be able to record,
update and monitor with the use of this proposed system to the
business organization which is the main goal of making this system.
And in addition, this system will follow the steps used during the
manual process of complying with teacher’s clearance to preserve the
organization guidelines and protocols.
