Script for Closing Ceremony of English Month

J: Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, the ceremony will be starting shortly, please

 teachers, and dearly beloved pupils, a very good afternoon to all!
Nationalistic Song /Prayer
J: Ladies and gentlemen, we are here today for the closing ceremony of English Month
celebration with the theme “Reliving the Past and Embracing the Future through
Philippine Literature” in collaboration with the Brigada Pagbasa 2022.
Before we proceed further this afternoon, I would like to invite our fellow teachers and
students to stand for the singing of our Nationalistic song via AVP to be followed by our
Opening Prayer to be lead Andrei Joshua A. Alayon of Grade 11 STEM Darwin

Welcome Remarks
D: To give us his welcoming remarks for our celebration today, may we call on our
dominant Principal, Dr. Eladio H. Escolano
Every journey has its end, and every path does stop somewhere. And now, we have
come to the end of that journey. However, this only marks the end of the English month
celebration and Brigada Pagbasa, not the knowledge and practice in using the language
which should be carried on and enhanced further.
Opening Number
J: To break the monotony of our program, ladies and gents, let us all welcome the
selected Grade 12 students as they showcase their costumes of their chosen literary
characters
-thank you guys for that amusing performance.
Talks
J: Everyone, we are so pleased to be with you this afternoon to have the chance to
introduce our first speaker.
She is the Grade 11 coordinator and the club adviser of the Patronus Society. She has
been one of the main proponents of this activity, and a true stand out in this field.
Now, she is also just a fascinating person and we're all in for a treat today. Without
further ado, please join us in welcoming our First Speaker, Ms. Fatima E. Abundo.
D: It is indeed that Reading fluency is important because it provides a bridge between
recognition and comprehension. Thank you, Ma’am Fatima for that significant topic.
D: Let us welcome our next speaker, who will be speaking about Sulung-Dunong: Sa
Pagbabasa, Ipinupunla ang Pag-Asa”. She has a great understanding of the program
“Brigada Pagbasa” and a great appreciation of what it takes to truly make our program
continue a path of progress, and a remarkable vision of the future of Brigada Pagbasa.
Ladies and gentlemen, our next speaker, Ms. Amajette A. Mansanero.
Awarding of certificates
J: Going far beyond the call of duty and doing more than others expect. These were
manifested by our excellent speakers this afternoon which is valuable and deserved for
recognition and appreciation.
D: Certificate of Recognition is proudly awarded to Ma’am Fatima and Ma’am Amajette
in grateful acknowledgement of their distinguished service rendered as Resource
Speaker during the conduct f English Month Celebration with the theme “Reliving the
Past and Embracing the Future Through Philippines Literature”, in partnership with
Brigada Pagbasa. Given this 1st Day of December 2022 in Batasan Hills National High
School signed by Dr. Jospehine Q. Miranda, Asst. Principal/OIC-SHS Department and
Dr. Eladio H. Escolano, Principal IV of BHNHs.
J: Congratulations and Thank you for sharing your knowledge and support for our
program for today.

D: Now, to show us the accomplishments of a 2-months programme of Brigada
Pagbasa, let us all watch a video presentation made by the TWG of Brigada Pagbasa.
Congratulations to all teachers/head who are behind of this very productive project for
the benefit of our students.
Awarding of certificates
J: To give recognition and appreciation to all students/teachers who are part in this
program, May I call on Sir Denis to award the certificates to our Brigada Pagbasa
Program recipients.

J: Thank you to our dedicated teachers, persistent tutors and receptive learners for
being cooperative and for being part of the success of the Brigada Pagbasa 2022.

D: This year’s English month program has been organized by the English language
panel. During the English month, we have had some fun and entertaining activities as
well as informative. Now, is the time to give appreciation to all participant who had
worked very hard in the activities. Let us all watch a video presentation of a compilation
of different activities held for English Month celebration.
Closing Number
J: At this juncture, you are going to witness the closing number from Patronus Society.

D: To formally close our program, may we call on the predominant OIC and assistant
