References for using the new ID CPR74 Reader instead off the
ID CPR44
Feig has replaced the ID CPR44 reader with the new ID CPR.74. This application note
describes the main technical differences between ID CPR.44 and the successor, with
more features and powerful reader ID CPR74.
In general the ID CPR74 will be interface compatible to FEIG ID CPR-Reader. This
application note will enable you to make an informed assessment for your existing and
new application to be sure that this new reader can achieve your technical requirements
depending on your hard- and software environment.

Software Application and SDK requirements

The new RFID-reader ID CPR.74 is compatible to the ID CPR44 reader with his basic
functions in reference to the reader API’s.
Therefore it will be possible to integrate the new reader without any changes on the
existing software application. In the cases of compatibility issues a new compilation with a
current SDK should be sufficient.

Note:
 We recommend to use the “Advanced Protocol Frame” if a application has to
be new compiled.

 For new projects and applications we recommend to use the current SDK
versions.
