§60472/2022/(ADMN) (BRANCH OFFICE PATNA) OFFICE OF THE COMPTROLLER AND AUDITOR GENERAL OF INDIA NEW DELHI EXAMINATION WING No. 468/44-Exam/Unfair Means/2021/Vol. III Dated: 20/10/2022 To Heads of Department of IA&AD offices (As per e-mail list) Sub: Use of smart watches, mobile phones ete. and other electronic devices during Departmental Examinations Madam/Sir, With reference to the subject cited above, the undersigned is directed to state that the Competent Authority, after taking into cognizance cases of unfair means in SAS/RA/I/CPD-I, II & III examinations, has instructed that all aspirants may be suitably informed that the use of any mobile phone (even in switched off i mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches etc. or camera or Bluetooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode, capable of being used as a communication device during the examination, is strictly prohibited. The presiding officers would ensure appropriate frisking of candidates before entry in the Examination Hall to prevent use of such devices. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail ban/debar from future examinations, apart from initiating disciplinary proceeding against the candidates as considered necessary.
