Similarities:

They appear in Batman stories, they fight against Batman, they are villains, they first appeared
in the comic book Batman 1, they change over time.

Differences:

Catwoman changes into less of a villain, almost a hero, and helps people, whereas the Joker,
after initially becoming funnier, then became even nastier and crueller.

Catwoman has a real name (Selina Kyle), but the Joker doesn’t. Catwoman looks graceful, but
the Joker looks like a clown.

Catwoman, then called "the Cat", first appeared in Batman #1 (spring 1940) as a mysterious
burglar and jewel thief, revealed at the end of the story to be a young, attractive (unnamed)
woman, having disguised herself as an old woman during the story and been hired to commit a
burglary.

WRITING AND SPEAKING

Maleficent is a fairy turned witch by hatred and resentment of the king. Maleficent is a 2014
American dark fantasy adventure film directed by Robert Stromberg from a screenplay by
Linda Woolverton.The film is a live-action retelling of Walt Disney's 1959 animated film
Sleeping Beauty, and portrays the story from the perspective of the eponymous antagonist,
depicting her conflicted relationship with the king and princess of a corrupt kingdom.

Maleficent is a film that was previously animated but became fiction because it reveals the
origins of Maleficent due to a great evil and hatred of the king.

She became a villain due to the contempt that the king gave her for being different from the
rest of her and she takes out all the hatred against the king's daughter.
