Chemtrails Over The Country Club

Life is Dark But Just a Game. This

album uses the darker background to show the

dark parts of Lana Del Rey life but then

contrasts them with white and shows the good

parts in white to emphasize that it's the light to

her life. Another way we can interpret the

black and white is that black and white is

usually connected with the past and with

remeising. So she can give the sense that this album will be about her good memories as well as

her bad memories. The old fashion that they use can give us a glimpse at what time period they

were in when this picture was meant to be set, in the past. Talking about sets, what set did she

use, as seen in the album title, the country club. You can tell it is an all women's country club

which was very popular back in the era that the picture is set in. The use of the Black and white

filter, the early 1900’s Fashion and the way they are being portrayed emotionally allowed the

artist to show the listener and the audience of the album what it was gonna be about before they

listened to it.
