Scalar relationship can be refer to as unity of command. It is a chain of supervisions from the top of the
rank to the lowest of the rank management. It is crucial for companies to reach their objectives. In order
to do this, the communication of the companies has to flow smoothly.

3. What is Span of Control?

Subordinates who report directly to the manager of the company or the leader. If more subordinates
assigned then their span of control is wider. This is important because the process of finishing it is much
faster.
