Why do many people believe in ghosts?

Some people believe that ghosts are real and some people don’t. Many of us have
negative impressions in our minds when we heard ghost stories or encounters. We simply
don't know, and that is a fact. There is a lot of evidence to suggest that ghosts do exist,
but there are also many skeptics that make several logical arguments to oppose the idea
that ghosts might exist in our culture.

Everybody has occasionally had an experience where they believed they had seen
something in the middle of the night or out of the corner of their eye. Despite there being
no one nearby, it's possible that we heard an odd noise or noticed some movement. When
we began to believe that there might be ghosts or spirits nearby, we became frightened.
This makes us think that these paranormal occurrences are real and that spirits make an
appearance. Watching scary movies might also contribute to why some think ghosts are
real. They would have a little impression of the ghosts in the movie such as ghosts can
harm us. Some people based their beliefs on their personal experiences and encounter
with ghosts. Other believers may just want them to be real and that’s why they believe.

According to sociologist Barry Markovsky, part of the reason many of us believe in

ghosts simply comes down to the way our brains work. The human mind seeks patterns to
make sense of ambiguous information. "Ghosts are almost always seen under ambiguous
circumstances — such as in poor lighting, or when we're just waking up or falling asleep
when our senses are not at their peak function," Markovsky said. For decades, this
concept of paranormal activity has been a hot topic of argument in the scientific
community. According to paranormal investigations and cultural beliefs, ghosts are real.
However, if we based it on scientific evidence, it tends to differ on the existence of
ghosts. According to scientists, the paranormal evidence is altered. For instance, the ghost
pictures and videos are all modified to create insight into ghosts' existence.

Whether you think ghosts exist or not, a lot of individuals in this world still go ghost-
hunting because they believe in them. They have gone through situations that are simply
unexplainable. They have caught images of things that cannot be explained or heard
things on videos that cannot be described without mentioning the existence of a
supernatural being.

In conclusion, there are different cases or events that lead people to believe in ghosts.
We all have various perspectives when it comes to this paranormal topic and we should
respect others' opinions. Additionally, unless a ghost is trying to haunt you, there’s no
reason for them to follow you around.
