The network management may demand limits on injection into the network in order to ensure
its stability. This has to be done in simulation to make sure the project gets executed
This excessive injection, particularly on weekends and holidays when there is less need for
electricity in commercial buildings.
Electricity export is prohibited in several nations; this practise is known as zero export. Some
nations prohibit injection limitations in order to conform to the regulations and provide the end
user access to a reliable electricity.
To perform zero export in Digsilent power factory there is a need of power frequency controller
Here in this document, I have explained in step by step how to perform the zero export to the
utility by using Power frequency controller.
Step 1
Assign the power frequency controller to the sources that may be generator, PV inverter etc…
This can be done by clicking the sources and define the power frequency controller as shown
in Figure 1
Insert all the source in the power frequency controller as shown in Figure 2

Give the power set point XX MW which will be injected to the utility.

Step 2
Define a boundary by selecting the dropdown option shown in figure 3

Step 3
Perform the load flow by changing the active power control mode from as dispatched to
according to secondary control (i.e) The power frequency controller will come into the
operation only when we select this option
