To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing in regard to all current and future openings within your district. I will be a South Dakota State
University graduate as of December of 2022. I will graduate from SDSU with a major and teaching certificate in
Early Childhood Education, along with certification in Elementary Education that I received from Dakota State
University. During my time at SDSU, I also completed a minor in Human Development and Family Studies as
well as a coaching certificate in volleyball and golf. I am a 2018 graduate from Central High School, and I would
love to come back to my home district. I believe I would be a great addition to the Aberdeen School District
team.

During my time at SDSU, I took various courses in child development, pedagogy and curriculum, classroom
management, and other courses relevant in teaching. I also gained knowledge through multiple field
experiences with different ages including preschool, kindergarten, third grade, fifth grade, and sixth grade. My
most recent experience is in the Aberdeen School District. I am currently student teaching in fifth grade at
Mike Miller Elementary.

With this letter, I have attached my current resume, a completed application, and three letters of reference.

I believe that I am a great fit within the Aberdeen School District. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Miller
Elementary School during my student teaching as well as my time of being a student within the Aberdeen
School District during my K-12 education. I’m a hometown girl who loves Aberdeen and wants the best for all
its community members. I put the students first and prioritize creating an enriching, respectful learning
environment within my classroom. My values align well with those of many teachers within the district. I want
to give back to the district that gave so much to me.
