Cheetahs are tan in color with black spots all over their bodies. The
cheetah´s slender, long- legged body is built for speed. They can also
be distinguished from other big cats by their smaller size.

Basic needs

Cheetahs are carnivores, meanings their primary food is meat. The

predators stick, to smaller prey, such as gazelles, hares, young
wildebeest warthogs and birds. Cheetahs only need to drink every
three to four days.

Vertebrate or Invertebrate

backbone. Cheetahs are mammals and are warm blooded.

Adaptation

One of the cheetah´s adaptations, its claws, helps make it the fastest
running animal. Its claws help it catch its prey. Other adaptation is their
color. Their dark spots on a light background help camouflage. The
cheetah has the long black lines which run from the inside of each
eyes to the mouth, this lines protect the cheetah´s eyes from the sun
and help them to see long distances.

Behavior

savannah, there are diurnal animals and hunt mostly during the late
morning or early evening. Only half of the chases which last from 20-
60 seconds are successful

Learning

hunting by his mother. They learn to stalk, reject, pursue, shoot and kill
