Specification:
When building an information systems application a choice has to be made concerning the
software to be used. Often that choice involves using proprietary software or open source
software. Find a published case study describing the development of an information systems
application using open source software. The application must have been developed within the
past five years.
An explanation of the open source software used and why it was chosen (max.200 words),
A summary of how the application was used in the organization (max.300 words),
A critical analysis of the success (or failure) of the open source software used in the
application (max.900 words).8
Deliverables:
1. A word processed and fully referenced coursework between 1200 and 1500 words.

2. Either the source of your case study (which must be accessible over the Web) or copy of it
