    Production Capacity

    • A plant might be operating in a single shift or two shifts; or some


    plants ma even work round the clock for three shifts also.
    • In this case we consider only the case of those plants that operate in
    a single shift and may work overtime if necessary.
    • The production capacity is specified as the number of units than can
    be produced in a single shift during regular time.
