Introduction
 In this practice, we assume the
first action of emergency case
such as an accident of
radioactivity scattering and leak.
 And we select protective gear and
put on them.

 In the real case, protective gear is selected according to accident situation, in terms
of the life safety the highest priority.

Breathing Protection Mask (Filtration type)

Half-face mask Full-face mask

○ Low price, compact size, light weight, simple and easy handling.
○ There are few limits for working areas and working hours.
● When breathing in, the inside of the mask becomes the negative pressure.
It makes a possibility that outside air leak into the mask. Therefore, it
requires enough training.
● Never use this type mask in "Oxygen level is less than 18%." and " There
is a possibility of toxic gas. ".
◇ You ought to use this type of mask in the case of minor air contamination.

deeply. If you breathe with difficulty, the mask is fit approximately
to your face.
(Don't push strongly, because the mask is deformed.)

(3) Mask check

 No crack, no deforming, no deterioration.

 Rubber band is not deteriorated.
 Filters are fitted on the mask-body correctly.

Full-face mask
 Loosen the rubber band completely.
 Turn the rubber band to the front side. It
makes putting on the mask easy.

Therefore marking to distinguish each
one is necessary.

Put the name label on the chest and the back in

this training.
(Because oil-based ink penetrates a Tyvek
(protective) suit and it makes underclothes dirty.)

Protection is finished !

If you get an opportunity, try

mask first. At last, wipe rubber gloves by clean side.
Purpose of wiping with wet rags.
