Two types of statistics

descriptive statistics /// yeh abhi likhna he

inferential statistics it is the branch of statistics that deals with inferences about characteristics of
the population on basis of sample information is called as inferential statistics .

Testing…

observation anything that can be measure or observed is called an observation

population the totally of the observation of interest is called population

parameter any numerical value calculated from the population is called parameter (μ(σ))

Sample any part of population is called sample

Statistic is a value computed from a sample (x̄ S)

Constant any value that does not change is called constant (PI)

Variable a characteristics that vary changes from place to place and time to time is called variable

Types of variable
there area two types
qualitative and quantitative

Quantitative Variable two types Continues and discreet

Discreet Variables
A quantitative variable that can assume only specified values is called discreet variable eg.Stairs

Continues Variables

A quantitative that can assume any value with in a given range is called continues variable eg
Marks,Cgpa,Car Speed

Qualitative variable is determine when characteristics of interest result in a non numeric values
it is also called categorical variable

Quantitative variable is determine when characteristics of interest result in a numeric values

Dependent Variable
a variable that depend on another variable si call dependent variable independent Vice Versa

Measurement of scales assignment

In statistics, there are four data measurement scales: nominal, ordinal, interval and ratio. These
are simply ways to sub-categorize different types of data (here's an overview of statistical data
types)

Data: the collection of sum related observation

Types of Data . Qualitative data and quantitative data also include in assignment

Quantitative data … Discreet and Continues data

Collection of data
Two types
Primary data refers to the first hand data gathered by the researcher himself. Secondary data
means data collected by someone else earlier.

Source of primary data (Internet ,Interview,Questionary )

Source of Secondary Data(Internet,Books,Previous Research Papers)
