MINUTES OF MEETING

REGION WIDE ORIENTATION OF SCHOOL HEADS ON LIMITED FACE

TO FACE CLASSES
Ma’am Madonna R. Estacio, School Principal I of Caingin Elementary
School piloted the meeting that focuses on the updates in administering
Limited F2F Classes. She started the meeting by presenting significant
figures and numbers of schools that have administered and started
conducting their F2F classes on both public and private schools. She also
reiterated that all schools should be SSAT compliant and must receive safety
seal in order to be allowed to administer F2F classes. Schools are also
required to submit weekly report on SSAT-Ready schools. SSAT Ready
Schools are classified as Nominated Schools, Eligible Schools and
Participating Schools.
Another salient point that was discussed by Ma’am Madonna Estacio
is the Implementation Guidelines on the Teaching-Learning Component of
Limited Face to Face Classes that deals with Classroom Structuring and
Management, Class Schedule and Teachers Load.
Classroom doors and windows must always be kept open for
continuous airflow. Curtains and cabinets that obstructs air flow shall not
be allowed. Trash bins must be present in all classrooms to ensure that all
waste materials are properly dispose specially used tissue, used rags and
used face masks.
The allowable number of learners per classrooms are as follows:
 Kindergarten: maximum of 12 in a class
 Grades 1-3: maximum of 16 learners in a class
 Grades 4-12: maximum of 20 learners in a class
 TVL workshop and science laboratory: maximum of 12 learners in a
workshop/laboratory
In a situation wherein only a small number of learners in different
sections in the same grade level signify to attend F2F classes, merging of
learners to create a new set/class is allowed provided that parents of the
concerned learners are informed, and the class is properly organized with
an assigned teacher. The outputs of the learners shall be given to their
respective teacher who is responsible for rating the learners.
Participating schools that had 100% learners that will attend F2F
classes may further do prioritization of learners based on the the following
conditions:
 children who require childcare, such as those whose parents must
work outside the home, or who have no directly available and
immediately responsible adults/guardians at home;
 learners heavily dependent on face-to-face learning interventions,
such as Key Stage 1 learners (Kindergarten to Grade 3);
 learners who struggle to meet the required learning competencies;
Class Scheduling as per JMC No. 1, s. 2021, item 7.2.1, class
schedules shall be arranged equitably so that qualified learners will have the
opportunity to attend face-to-face classes. To maintain the learning
momentum of the learners, particularly in small schools, the face-to-face
classes shall be done continuously and no longer every other week.
However, in big schools where teachers may handle multiple classes, the
school head shall strategize to avoid overloading of teachers. Core subjects
such as Science, Math, and English shall be given priority in the face-to-face
classes in Grades 1 to 10, from Monday to Thursday while the other
subjects such as Araling Panlipunan, MAPEH, EsP, and EPP/TLE/TVL shall
be taken through distance learning modality from Monday to Thursday, and
face-to-face class learning modality on Fridays either in the morning or in

the afternoon. Learners shall stay in school for a maximum of 4 1/2 hours,
except for kindergarten learners, who shall stay in school for a maximum of
3 hours.
The primary learning resource that shall be used for face-to-face
learning are textbooks. The readily available self-learning materials, video
lessons, and other learning resources shall only be used as supplementary
materials.
They shall also have a list of least learned/mastered competencies
and a budget of work of the most essential learning competencies as the
bases in the preparation of the DLL/DLP and WHLP to ensure the coverage
of all the learning standards for the given quarter. This shall be checked by
their immediate superiors.
