GROUP PROJECT PRESENTATION

Task:
Choose a real foreign company that is doing its business in Vietnam and conduct a
strategic analysis of the company.

The content of the report should include but not limited to the followings:
Part 1:
1.1. Introduction to the company (history, businesses, significant achievements, etc.)
1.2. Analyze its mission and vision. Is the mission and vision of the company customer-
driven or product-driven? Justify your viewpoint.
1.3. Use the five forces model of competition to analyze the industry in Vietnam that
this company is doing business. How do these competitive forces affect the
company?
1.4. Use the VRIO framework to identify any distinctive competencies of this company.
1.5. Identify the institutional factors that might affect the company in Vietnam. How do
these factors affect the company (strong/moderate/weak)?

Part 2:
2.1. Use the Porter’s Diamond Model to analyze the context of this company in
Vietnam
2.2. What is the company’s entry mode into Vietnam? Identify the advantages and
disadvantages of the company’s entry mode to Vietnam.
2.3. Explore the corporate-level strategies that the company is pursuing in the
Vietnamese market
2.4. Identify any hinders or motivations for the execution of the company’s chosen
corporate-level strategies

Notes:
1. A group will be given a 35-minute presentation and 20 minutes for Q&A for each
part of the group project.
2. PowerPoint slides of each part must be uploaded to the MS Teams on the day of
the presentation session for grading purposes. Late submission will receive a
score deduction of at least 15% depending on the number of days that the
submission is late.
