Happy (late) Thanksgiving!

We enjoyed a warm and melty Thanksgiving week. It was quiet in Grand Forks as
students hit the road to enjoy the holiday with family. Now, they are back at work finishing
projects and studying for finals.
I have met a few times with a young law student that is curious about Christianity. He
didn’t make the journey back to Georgia for the holiday so we were able to get some coffee and
talk a bit more about Christianity. I gave him a Bible and encouraged him to read over the break.
He has four 3-4 hour exams over the next two weeks. His schedule is insane. Pray for his exams
and for him to earnestly seek truth regarding Jesus. I pray that he would come to know Jesus
while he studies here at UND.
Staff and leaders gathered before the break to
pray for the campus and plan Christmas parties over
the next few weeks. We continue to see the
importance of connecting with people that don’t yet
know Jesus in authentic, caring relationships. This is
a key time of the year to connect with people. Pray
that in large groups and small groups we would meet
and befriend many that have yet to consider the
claims of Christ and point them to Him.

As a staff team, we celebrate that 15 people including students, staff, a volunteer, and a
community member have signed up to join us for our spring break trip. Once again, we will
partner with “Filter of Hope” to take water filters and the message of Jesus to people in
Guatemala. We continue to see how students want to meet physical needs along with spiritual
needs as they live missionally. We are so excited to see what God will do to prepare and then
work through this team over the coming months.
While the process of seeing a lost person come to Jesus, seeing someone grow to be fully
devoted to Jesus, and seeing them learn to minister to others can be full of ups and downs, we
continue to celebrate that God is at work and our labor for Him is not in vain. Know that as we
thank God for His amazing gift in Jesus and the joy of knowing Him, we also thank Him for
raising up partners like you in this mission.
